Who we are

So, how did Journeys Aligned come to life?

Well, we’re Jo Walley and Adrian Savage and ever since we met back in 2018, we’ve shared a love for exploring. Travel has always been a big part of our lives (though in quite different ways!), and over the years it’s become something we not only enjoy ourselves, but love helping others experience too.

Jo used to think travel was something “other people” did but now it’s woven into her life, and she’s passionate about sharing her stories to inspire others to do the same. Adrian, meanwhile, is a treasure trove of knowledge when it comes to fascinating places and clever ways to get there.

Professionally, we’ve each followed our own paths, but with a shared purpose: helping people make better decisions by taking complex information and making it simple and useful. Now, we’re bringing that same approach to travel - combining our skills and passions to support others on their own journeys.

**Why the name “Journeys Aligned”?**

When we were playing around with names, we knew we wanted something that reflected us and what we’re all about.

We toyed with some fun options (we nearly went with Savvy Travellers as a nod to Adrian’s surname!) but one word kept popping up: journey.

We’re both big fans of transport and travel in general - for us, the journey is just as meaningful as the destination. Our friends and family often come to us for help planning their trips, and we genuinely love it.

So “Journeys” felt like a no-brainer.

Then there’s aligned.

Alignment has always been important to both of us; in how we live, how we work, and how we help others. We want every trip to feel like it truly fits the person taking it. No two experiences should be the same - it’s all about aligning your interests, hopes, and curiosities with the right opportunities.

And that’s how “Journeys Aligned” came to be - on a sunny July day in 2025, during a walk to a dried-up waterfall in the middle of a UK heatwave. Funny how things come together sometimes, isn’t it?
